Diamond Mountain Road is at very high risk in the event of fire. They have nearly 4 miles of roads up very steep and difficult terrain. One large tree toppled could trap many people. So, they have taken a leadership role in mitigating their situation by forming their Diamond Mountain Firesafe Council, though they have lots of work yet to do.
Their Council now incorporates Kortum Canyon, Azaela Springs, Schramsberg Winery, Castello di Amorosa, and Tucker Acres.
